A registered profile is required to enter — your Vault progress, achievements, and Recruit journal all live on your account.
The site admin can see account activity (logins, pages, what you watch, Sanctum posts and comment excerpts, friend and account changes), IP and device; logs are kept 90 days. Accepted friends can see your Vault and profile. Live status is on by default: friends can also see when you're online and which page or title you're viewing. You can turn off live status in your account menu.
